About the department Manufacturing Development is building the bridge between development and the Manufacturing units and comprises more than 150 engaged employees in five departments. We continuously improve our production processes in collaboration with our stakeholders. You will be part of 1402 Modelling and Optimisation, a department within Manufacturing Development (MDEV) in the Diabetes API area. The department works closely together with process and analytical support colleagues and currently employs seven principal scientists, four area specialists, one principal technician and one technician. We support the entire Diabetes API production with specialized expertise knowledge within equipment, process, chemistry, modelling and statistics. The position We offer a very interesting and varying job to the right internship, including the opportunity to work with highly qualified and motivated specialists in a multidisciplinary project environment. During your internship, you will perform laboratory work including protocol writing, data collection, data analysis and reporting of experiments. Internship Period: The internship position is a full-time position for 6 months. Start date: 1. August 2016. After the internship period there could be an opportunity to execute a Master Science Thesis in the department. Qualifications The intern we are looking for is passionate about establishing and documenting new protein based recovery and purification processes. You are currently studying on your master’s degree in science (pharmacy, chemistry, chemical engineering or other relevant scientific discipline) and experienced in protein chemistry and downstream processing. We expect the candidate to thrive in a busy environment and bring a can-do attitude. To be successful , you need a structured approach, have a critical eye for details and a mind focused on quality and enjoy working together with other people to make things happen.
