About the department Materials & Injection Moulding (Dept. 2509.01- approx. 10 employees) is the expertise centre for materials and injection moulding in Novo Nordisk. The Injection Moulding team supports the development of medical devices by giving specialist input to various areas within Design for Manufacturing, Injection moulding technologies, Moldflow® analysis, moulded prototypes, tests etc. The team work closely with other colleagues in the Mechanical Engineering Support department and also work in close collaboration with the device project engineers from these fields. The postion You will join a team of two experienced engineer’s within Injection Moulding Analysis who support the product development within Design for Manufacturing from early concept to optimization of running production. You will be responsible for a task within the field of heat transmission & fluid mechanics, which will impact the quality of our support towards internal stakeholders. The activities include literature review, designing and planning experiments, coordination and execution of experiments including injection moulding trails, injection moulding simulation with Moldflow®, data analysis, drawing conclusions and dissemination in reports and/or presentations. You will be an integrated part of the team on equal terms regarding working hours and as such you will attend department project planning meetings and be responsible for your own deliverables together with your appointed mentor. Requirement: Students in their first or second year of their bachelor or master studies. Period: The internship position is a full-time position for 4-6 months. Start date: 1. September 2016 or earlier based on individual agreement Qualifications We are looking for a candidate that is able to work independently (after an introduction) in a dynamic and hands-on organisation. Ideal candidates will possess skills, or interest in heat transmission & fluid mechanics, injection moulding and simulation. Prior knowledge to at least one of the three main areas is a prerequisite, but in-depth experience is not mandatory. The position includes coordination tasks as well as dissemination tasks. Therefore excellent conversational skills and fluency in written and spoken English are important. You are a person with a strong personal drive and analytical mind-set. You have professional and personal ambitions that are reflected in your desire to take initiative. In addition, you bring a can-do attitude to your work – and meet others with a constructive attitude. Finally, you must have strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning.
