Take technical ownership of our brand-new digital solutions
In the newly established Digital Solutions Office, we are building a new digital framework by establishing a cloud infrastructure that can collect data and create insights on FLSmidth’s plants and equipment across the world. This will subsequently enable us to offer valuable new solutions to our customers – such as business insights and asset management solutions.
As our new IoT architect, you will be responsible for conceptualising, designing and delivering roadmaps for and blueprints of complete stacks of IoT solutions using MS Azure IoT Platforms. Thus, you will build a solid, scalable IoT architecture foundation that brings value to customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
Moreover, you will:
- Develop technical solution designs that cover available platform services for edge device connectivity, device management, data ingestion and management, streaming and big data analytics, visualisations, mobility apps as well as application programming interfaces to enterprise & business applications
- Collaborate with and present your designs to the project teams, the development team, management and large external partners
- Collaborate with colleagues and customers to understand the needs and challenges involved in developing and deploying IoT applications
- Continuously monitor and implement new technologies and trends
- Guide team members to design and develop solutions aligned to the defined architecture
Preferably, you work from Valby, but the right candidate can also choose to work from Chennai. You get to travel 60-80 days a year to visit colleagues and customers, and if you work from Chennai, you can expect extensive travel to Denmark to strengthen collaboration with your team members there.
Experienced IoT architect ready to build the foundation for our digital future
- You are an experienced IoT solution architect with a proven track record of designing and implementing new technologies, including implementing end-to-end cloud/edge solutions.
- You hold a degree in computer science, information systems or similar.
- You have a thorough understanding of the complete IoT architectural stack from sensors to data ingestion, big data analytics and API interfaces, etc.
- It will be a plus if you are a certified MS Azure Solution Architect and/or TOGAF certified, but it is not a prerequisite.
- It will be a plus if you have knowledge of advanced digital and analytic technology in OT environments – manufacturing operations, process and control systems, SCADA, MES, etc.
As a person, you have the communication skills in place to explain and visualise complex designs to various stakeholders as well as work in cross-cultural teams.
