About the Department An attractive opportunity has become available in our IT Architecture unit in Novo Nordisk. The IT Architecture unit is responsible for setting the strategic direction for global and cross-organisational IT solutions within integration, data and application technology to ensure standardisation across Novo Nordisk. IT Architecture is part of Corporate IT in Novo Nordisk A/S, which employs approximately 400 highly skilled IT professionals. Our team is focusing on acting as technology advisors for large and complex IT projects, and for global and cross-organisational IT systems. We ensure that Novo Nordisk builds robust IT solutions by providing guidance on architectural best practices. Our key stakeholders are senior management in IT and Line of Business, and project managers throughout Novo Nordisk. You will be reporting to the Director of IT Architecture. The Job As an IT Architect you will be part of a team of 8 highly skilled senior specialists who work with a variety of tasks within the domain of IT architecture including application integration, application portfolio management and emerging technologies – e.g. cloud computing, mobile and big data. Your primary focus will be to advise major IT projects on architectural design principles and provide proposals on choice of technology. You will participate in projects, either as IT architect or technical track lead, and will be required to make simple solution designs from complex requirements and communicate these in an effective manner to our stakeholders. In addition you will be responsible for managing various minor projects to develop and mature Novo Nordisk IT Architecture. Qualifications You have a master’s degree within Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent with excellent results. You have a minimum of 7 years of working experience within the IT architecture domain, and you have a profound understanding of IT architecture principles and what it takes to design and document IT solutions, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry. You are proactive and able to engage in close dialogue with internal and external stakeholders across the world, to understand the needs and business requirements. On this background you can explain technology trends and recommend principles for global use. You are energetic, work independently and have a high level of personal integrity and accountability. You thrive in a fast moving and rapidly changing environment. You have a strong sense of responsibility for meeting objectives, and you are considered an enthusiastic and engaging team player with a good sense of humour.
