Corporate IT consists of more than 400 highly skilled IT professionals responsible for all major IT projects, systems, infrastructure and operations in Novo Nordisk globally. The global IT landscape in Novo Nordisk covers more than 40.000 clients worldwide, with major business processes covered by corporate systems based on SAP, Siebel, Microsoft, EtQ Reliance and Oracle. About the department For our IT Infrastructure department in the Corporate IT area, we are looking for a Department Manager. As Department Manager in IT Infrastructure, you will be managing a team of currently 8 direct reports and about 20-50 indirect reports, incl. consultants and internal project staff. The department is responsible for developing and managing all global IT Infrastructure services. Key stakeholders include senior management, boards and committees across different business areas and regions globally. You will be referring to the Vice President of Client Services and IT Infrastructure. The job Your responsibilities will be focused on managing the portfolio of global IT Infrastructure services to ensure strategic alignment of the different services with industry best practices, to ensure daily operations, and to drive key IT Infrastructure projects. Examples of global IT Infrastructure services are: Local Area Network, Wide Area Network, Servers, Virtualisation, Databases, etc. As the role is global, creating and maintaining close relationships with the global IT organisation will be a key responsibility. You will lead a team of highly skilled IT Infrastructure Architects with coaching in regards to service development and projects as one of the main tasks. Your responsibilities also include ensuring a high level of quality and compliance in order for our global IT Infrastructure to continuously meet regulatory standards and expectations. Qualifications You have minimum 7-10 years of experience related to one or more of the following areas: Global IT Infrastructure, IT System Management or IT Project Management. You have minimum 5 years of experience as a People Manager, preferably within IT Infrastructure. You hold a Master’s degree, MBA or similar graduate degree in relevant field (Business Administration, Economics, and Computer Science). Further, you have broad experience with IT Infrastructure, IT system development, IT system implementation, project - and programme management. You are experienced with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements. You have strong analytical skills, and strong relationship and communication competencies, both internal and external. You have strong coaching, motivation and leadership skills, including feedback on performance related to deliverables. You have the ability to balance multiple stakeholders and interact with senior management on a regular basis. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are a prerequisite.
