At BESTSELLER IT we are looking for a technical talent who can assist the Styles Creation team with a wide range of technical competences. As such, you will deal with the technical challenges we will face on our exciting journey focusing on moving our creative design process of our fashion goods towards a digital future based on 3D. Because of this, we are on the lookout for a great team player with both IT and graphical design insights to assist the team in the design and execution of the necessary system landscape.

The team 

You will become part of a growing and newly created self-organising and high-performing agile team of 5 highly skilled, cross-functional colleagues, primarily Brande-based.   

The product vision of the team is to Digitalize the Styles Creation in BESTSELLER and take full advantage of 3D and other new technologies in the creation of fashion styles.  

This means we focus both on supporting the current (primary 2D) practice and defining and establishing the future ecosystem needed to enable a 3D/Digital-based future. As such, we collaborate closely with all areas of the business - from the Sourcing Office and suppliers to our E-commerce department and the fashion designers in the brands.  

Fast fashion is our industry, and we focus on servicing the range of independent brands that are part of BESTSELLER. This leads to us having a very dynamic and fast-paced working environment. As our industry, as many others, is moving towards digitalisation, the Digital Styles Creation team has a key role in moving the company forward within this crucial and initial part of the BESTSELLER value chain.  

The job 

Your primary responsibility will be to participate in the creation and design of systems to support the product vision. This could be on a simple prototyping basis or on Enterprise-ready, scalable and highly reliable global solutions running on our public cloud providers. Together with the team, you are expected to take end-to-end responsibility of the technology stack.   

You will both do assessments and ensure systems delivery – either hands-on (typically from a development or integration point of view) or through a collaboration with colleagues or external systems or service providers.   

Your profile 

As a person, you have a strong desire to learn. You are naturally interested and experienced in new technologies, and you are open to analysing and understanding existing systems and interdependencies. You enjoy working in a systems landscape with many moving parts and with a focus on constantly delivering immediate value, meaning that you will work in an agile sprint environment and always on the lookout for ways of bringing BESTSELLER forward.   

Being part of a small, agile team, it comes natural to you to share your knowledge and to inspire and support your colleagues. You contribute constructively to team discussions, and you enjoy collaborating in building creative solutions to complex problems. With your critical eye and sense for detail, you deliver quality solutions and take ownership and feel accountable for the team’s results.  

You have a business mindset and thrive in a role where you collaborate closely with colleagues across the entire business to deliver solutions with the end-user in mind.  

Qualifications 

You most likely have a combined IT and graphical education on minimum bachelor level and a couple of years of experience in the field of adopting 3D to an industry. 

We are looking for a new colleague with a broad set of development and technical skills, but we are primarily looking for someone with experience within the following areas:   

We expect you to be strong in: 

• Scrum/JIRA 
• Cloud services  
• REST APIs & JSON – development and consumption 
• Container Technology such as Kubernetes, Docker, etc.  
• Event-driven design and Publish-Subscribe concepts  
• .Net/C#  
• SQL.

A bonus would be to be familiar with: 

• API Management and API gateway concepts and platforms  
• Unity 
• Adobe 

You have experience and/or interest in taking responsibility over the full stack of your team’s products and their lifecycle management. From coding the actual solution to talking directly to our Fashion Supplier’s technical teams and representatives - and anything in between, such as quality assurance, deployment and release management.
