Vattenfall´s Business Area Wind is now recruiting 1 Junior Construction Engineer and 1 Junior Commissioning Engineer (m/f) to be part of the Construction Management Organization. The Junior Construction Engineer should have a civil / mechanical background and will be linked to the construction team. The Junior Commissioning Engineer should have an electrical background and will be linked to the commissioning team. The organization is responsible for the safe and timely installation and commissioning of Vattenfall’s offshore wind farms. The positions should be seen as advanced traineeships. Your purpose is to learn as much as possible about the Offshore Wind industry and gain experience, as well as to benefit the Project Execution by assisting in operations monitoring and by proactively improving Health and Safety offshore. You should expect to work in a rotation, most likely 14 days on / 14 days off. Your job as Junior Construction/Commissioning Engineer Offshore Wind Specific tasks for this position will include but are not limited to: •Generally assist offshore Client Representatives or SAP’s: ?Coordinate shift schedule to facilitate adequate rest periods for Client Rep ?Log, monitor and report installation progress daily, weekly and monthly ?Enforce contractual responsibilities and procedures during installations and commissioning ?Take part in ‘toolbox talks’ – information, strategy, and HSE meetings that take place before every shift or major construction activity ?Convey reports ?Assist with Take Over or switching operation •Keep project organization informed of offshore progress and issues •Suggest possible areas for improvement •Represent the interests, obligations and responsibilities of Vattenfall offshore •Prepare Minutes of Meeting for morning meeting on vessel •Perform ad hoc tasks at the behest of Client Rep or SAP •Prepare project progress statistics •Photographically record and document progress •Progress reporting •Assist onshore project team with offshore queries and concerns for project progress •Provide a log of construction activities at the end of every rotation Your profile as Junior Construction/Commissioning Engineer Offshore Wind •Bachelor’s degree in either Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering •Some engineering and/or offshore experience would be advantageous •HV experience would be a plus •English language fluency, additional Danish or German language skills would be a plus •Good communication and interpersonal skills •Ability to read and understand technical and construction documents (reports, plans, etc.) •Driver’s license •Outgoing and assertive personality At Vattenfall Wind you will work in a dynamic, professional, international environment with highly skilled and motivated colleagues.
