External Posting Title Key Account Manager Job Description The main responsibility of the key account manager is to maximize the performance of their territory. The KAM is accountable for the success of all Biogen’s MS products in the assigned accounts by working in partnership with ABM’s, product managers, internal market access and medical colleagues to create value for patients and other relevant stakeholders within the accounts to ensure long-term growth for Biogen. Doing so necessitates analysing territory performance, having an in-depth understanding of the healthcare environment at national & territory level and developing and implementing strategic accounts plans and implementing local marketing strategies utilising resources provided by Biogen. They need to be experts on the hospital funding system and the healthcare environment within their territory, identifying the opportunities and challenges for the Biogen business and to demonstrate strategic leadership within their local teams to ensure these opportunities are capitalized upon and challenges are addressed. Focal to the success of the Key Account Manager remit will be: •Develop and execute an effective strategic account plan for maximizing territory sales ensuring that stakeholder needs are being met. •Proactively collaborates with other salescolleagues to gain input on relevant accounts so that optimal account plans can be developed and implemented. •Provide information to management to help with identifying, segmenting, profiling and defining national key accounts - e.g. Hospitals, purchase groups, guideline providers etc. •Build intimate knowledge of the accounts stakeholders’ priorities, decision making processes (therapeutic preference, budget allocation, procurement cycles), business needs, drivers and barriers for Biogen portfolio on Tec/Pleg utilization. •Building up, strengthening and ensuring a long-term customer relationship with the accounts’ key stakeholders responsible for MS therapies and MS budgets and ensuring competitive position of Biogen’s MS portfolio (Teg/PLeg) via regular dialog with key stakeholders. •Optimises access to the Biogen MS portfolio (Tec/Pleg) by providing input on and executing Biogen value propositions to the hospital accounts. •Portfolio selling of the Biogen MS portfolio (Tec/Pleg) to prescribing physicians and other relevant HCP’s •Support accounts to secure MS budgets •LI-EU4 Location Copenhagen, Denmark Job Category Commercial Operations Requisition Number 27204BR Qualifications •5 to 8 years of pharmaceutical/health care sales experience, Proven and sustained track record of reaching and exceeding sales goals as well as favorable negotiations •Preferable previous Experience as KAM or comparable role •Preferable experience in the field of Neurology •Local territory language is a must, fluency in English is also essential Education •Bachelor/Master degree in Business About Biogen Biogen (NASDAQ: BIIB) is a biotechnology leader that discovers, develops and delivers innovative therapies to improve the lives of patients with neurodegenerative diseases, hematologic conditions and autoimmune diseases.
