- Laboratory Technician - Denmark - Måløv We seek a laboratory technician who wants to be part of Novo Nordisk and participate in our research team, dedicated to model development and testing of new treatments for diabetes. About the department Diabetes Pharmacology is responsible for in vivo pharmacology in rodents. We develop, characterise and use animal models for early evaluation of drug candidates for the treatment of diabetes. The department consists of approximately 20 employees including academics, technicians and students. The job We organise our daily work in teams, typically consisting of one scientist and two technicians. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for performing in vivo experiments in rodents, primarily in mice and rats. As part of the job, you will be involved in both the planning of studies, performing the animal experiments, as well as reporting of the data obtained. In addition to a close collaboration with colleagues within the team and department, you will also have a close collaboration with our Animal Unit where in vivo experiments take place. The job offers good development opportunities, and we have a humorous and friendly working climate, with colleagues collaborating across the unit when needed. Qualifications You have a relevant background as laboratory technician or similar education. If you have experience from working in the pharmaceutical industry it is an advantage. You have knowledge of and solid hands-on experience with in vivo experiments in rodents. As a person you are flexible, open to new ideas, and you enjoy being part of a team. As we speak both Danish and English in the department, the job requires some proficiency in English. The department is part of Global Research, which specialises in the discovery of biological medicines for the treatment of type 1 and 2 diabetes.
