Copenhagen / Local - International / Drilling / Ref.: MO-062894 We Offer This is an opportunity to participate as a Senior/Lead Completion Engineer to an important project looking at the future development of Al Shaheen field in Qatar. The team is responsible for maturing solutions that will enable a step change in well design and well delivery. The team is already in place with a variety of disciplines and is growing to integrate more “Wells” capabilities. You will be based at our headquarters offices in the center of Copenhagen. In the longer term, you will be part of the Corporate Technology and Projects department supporting the delivery of critical completions technology within the company. There will also be potential to take a further assignment in one of the operational business units You will be part of an organization where safety is top priority and values like “Constant Care” are actually lived out. Key Responsibilities Your main responsibility is to lead and further develop innovative completions solutions as the representative of Corporate Wells. You will be embedded in the Global Project Development team and will guide the delivery of critical completions technology to achieve the objectives of the project teams. This consists in optimizing well completion design and delivery at Assess level. You will challenge stakeholders in order to obtain the right framing for the completion / well services thematic. You will then adopt a creative and open mind approach in order to provide innovative solutions. You will evaluate the opportunity of introducing new technology or innovative methods. You will mature these concepts within an integrated team and evaluate their benefits keeping in mind that the project is value driven rather than a pure cost cutting exercise. • Providing project management expertise to ensure that the various ongoing development and application projects are structured, tracked and reported – both financially and technically • Performing the required tests in the horizontal test loop of new tools and technologies Who we are looking for As a person, you are team-oriented, yet self-motivated and efficient. Moreover, you: • Hold a degree within Engineering • Have at least 10 years of well experience within the oil & gas industry. Have been involved in a broad range of international projects using various completion and well intervention solutions. Keep yourself updated on the latest trends and technology. • Have proven experience in working with integrated cross discipline teams. • Have experience in conceptual well design, framing and implementation of new technology with a clear view on well life cycle efficiency. • Have the leadership experience allowing you to lead and motivate the other specialists in the team. • Have robust communication and interpersonal skills. • Are fluent in English, verbally as well as written Maersk Oil is an international oil and gas company with operated production of about 557,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day from Denmark, the UK, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Brazil and Algeria.
