Do you have solid experience providing technical guidance and a strong record of accomplishment within Geophysics in the Exploration & Production business? Join us and become Lead Development Geophysicist in on the Siri Asset in the Subsurface Department, which is responsible for operating a number of fields in the Danish continental shelf. The fields comprise brownfield developments, including building and updating static models, infill drilling and production optimisation. The work is conducted in integrated teams that include geophysicists, petrophysicists and reservoir engineers. The department is a part of Exploration & Production, which has 700 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We explore for and produce oil and natural gas. Today, our activities are centred in the seas off Denmark, Norway and the United Kingdom, and we have an ambitious strategy with many exciting projects in the pipeline. You will be based at our office in Gentofte north of Copenhagen. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility You will be involved in a wide variety of activities across our assets and drive technology development projects across Exploration & Production and functions, sharing best-practice and market knowledge. You must demonstrate technical proficiency within your area of expertise, interpret, and evaluate complex geoscience data according to our standards, including seismic amplitude analysis, inversion, attributes analysis and rock physics. Moreover, you will evaluate and model new opportunities against potential volume and return on investment. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •advise on and interpret and evaluate complex geoscience data, review the work of senior colleagues and couch less experienced staff to ensure that our standards are met. •contribute to recommendations for the placing and design of production wells •advise on the latest emerging geoscience techniques and methods within the industry • manage subsurface work in appraisal, development and production projects •evaluate company interests in entering new or mature areas and provide recommendations. Your profile As a minimum, you hold a master's degree in science, geophysics or geology – or equivalent. You have extensive professional experience at operational level as well as advanced know-how of technical computer science tools, eg analysis and modelling packages. You are a motivated team player with a strength to execute and with good communication skills.
