Become an integral part of Product Engineering
As a lead product technical manager, you will join our Product Engineering department in Bjerringbro, Denmark. Collaborating closely with our product line manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring product compliance, quality, cost-out and ability to produce for all electronic components used in our drives. This also includes working closely with the design engineers from our Development functions, support functions and our production organization.
Take the technical lead on drive components
Acting as the technical lead, you divide your time between monitoring market data to improve market performances, optimising overall cost for your assigned product line and continuously monitoring the given standards and legislation to ensure compliance.
It is up to you to decide the technical direction and solutions for engineering activities for a given product line - ultimately deciding how to fulfill agreed specifications in case of product or component updates. Doing so, you will:
- Demonstrate overall global technical leadership of your product line, starting at the handover of the product/solution from development projects until phase-out
- Ensure timely information and coordination to ensure successful implementation of changes
- Drive the execution of prioritised technical activities within the Product Line Management team
- Perform product audits in manufacturing units that handle a given product line to ensure the correct use of product specifications (drawings, instructions, etc.)
- Provide specialist knowledge to our development organization on a given product line by participating in design reviews and setting quality targets during development projects
You can expect to travel 20+ days a year as the majority of our production is based in Hungary.
Experienced engineer with leadership acumen
To succeed in this position, you enjoy being in close dialogue with a broad range of colleagues across an international organization. You know how to lead and encourage stakeholder interaction by actively living out the skills of delegation, coordination and communication to ensure the best possible performance of the product line. Moreover, you:
- Have a degree in engineering and solid experience with power electronics
- Have 5+ years of technical leadership experience
- Have some knowledge of SW features and their link to HW, including embedded SW systems
- Bring experience with the areas of regulatory compliances, product and technical documentation including documentation for mass production
- Are well versed in terms of functioning in an English-only speaking environment as well as communicating with less English-proficient global peers
