We are looking for a technical Lead Specialist who can oversee and be accountable for our Control & Auxiliary Power area. You will be working at a high level, leading and coordinating our technical deliverables, through our dedicated engineering teams.

We are shaping the future of modern energy. In Electrical Engineering, Control & Auxiliary Power we have the responsibility of the LV systems in the turbine. In our daily work we are in very close interaction with our main stakeholder as we support all systems in the turbine, across both onshore and offshore products. The team is involved in various activities including innovation projects, feasibility studies and prototype testing, while focusing on product development as our main objective. The core outputs within Control and Auxiliary Power are specification and design of the LV electrical cabinets and integration in the turbine. Our core competencies are within Electrical Engineering, integration of products and requirements specifications for LV cabinets. In everything we do we strive to display strong leadership, and build products based on robust design.
As Lead Specialist in Control & Auxiliary you will, together with the Manager, be in the leadership team of Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

You will have the role of Senior Functional lead and have the technical responsibility for Control & Auxiliary Power deliverables and strategy.
You will be working with these challenges together with - and through our engineering and leadership teams:

• Define and drive technology- and product roadmaps aligned with the business strategy
• Make business cases and project scoping 
• Act as technical head in especially the scoping phase of complex and cross functional projects 
• Conduct IPR assessments and ensuring freedom to operate
• Ensuring quality by design reviews
• Represent Vestas in relevant working groups and committees
• Act as technical lead in Category management teams 
• Competence development
• Drive the Functional Lead setup

You will be accountable for:

• The technical future of the design and roadmaps for the Control & Auxiliary Power area
• Driving and overseeing the technical area, ensuring that we have the right strategy in place which is directly linked to- and enables Vestas overall ambitions of delivering renewable power solutions.

Qualifications

• B.Sc.E.E, M.Sc.E.E 
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience
• Experience with LV cabinet design
• Detailed knowledge of LV components selection
• Solid experience in LV component and system testing
• Excellent communication skills in English orally and written
• Working experience from the global company would be advantageous

Additional information
Primary work location is in Aarhus, Denmark.
