Would you like to be part of an exciting project aiming at changing household waste into sustainable energy and recycling of non-organic materials? Join us and become Lead Specialist in our Technology department in Business Development & Execution where you will be responsible for developing, maturing and implementing technologies, for handling household waste and turning this into sustainable energy and materials for recycling. Our ambition is to become the world’s leading supplier of technology within this field. We are currently running a demonstration and operations facility in the Copenhagen area. Technology is part of Thermal Power, which has 800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We own just below half of the thermal production capacity in Denmark and are at the forefront of the development within efficient use of biomass and reduction of the environmental impact through innovative biorefining technologies. You will be based at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. You should, however, expect some travelling in relation to your work. As Lead Specialist, your key duties will be to •direct the development, evaluate the quality of obtained and existing data and secure further optimisation of our REnescience process, both biologically, chemically and mechanically •handle chemical, biochemical and microbiological tests and analyses and perform laboratory and pilot trials, sampling, evaluation and final reporting •ensure direct development initiatives and quality of process during upscaling to industrial level •plan and implement new biological, chemical and mechanical process steps and participate in the development of biological, enzymatic and chemical online measuring principles •ensure that process development is in-line with expected market demand, and that it meets the regulatory requirements •handle reporting and presentation on a scientific level. Your qualifications and core competences include that you •have a PhD degree in chemistry, biotech or microbiology combined with extensive technical and mechanical insight and 10+ years of industrial experience •have experience with IPR, business development and industrial implementation and preferably with management •have a proactive, systematic and persistent approach to your work tasks and see documentation as a significant part of your daily work •have a holistic, creative and innovative mind-set as well as overall business understanding •speak and write English fluently and have excellent communication skills, enabling you to present and communicate complex matters in a professional and straightforward way to your colleagues and stakeholders in an international environment.
