About the department The production site in Hillerød employs 450 people divided into five departments: Aseptic Production, Assembly Production, Packaging Production, Business Support and Standardisation & Optimisation. The LEAN manager refers directly to the Senior Manager of Standardisation & Optimisation (S&O). The main purpose of the S&O department is to deliver proactive business decision support and performance management support to the Site. The S&O department is responsible for formulating, communicating and implementing the LEAN and Training strategies for the site that effectively support the manufacture of insulin products. The job As LEAN manager your main role will be to roll-out the LEAN strategy, manage cross functional LEAN projects, and head up the LEAN team, consisting of five highly dedicated professionals. You will spend most of your time on the shop floor, supporting leaders in developing their systems and behaviour to drive continuous improvement. You will be responsible for developing the systems (e.g. performance boards, problem solving, process confirmation) used by leaders in your area to see, solve, and follow-up on problems, in a way that secures sustainable results and coaching the behaviour needed - to use and continuously improve these systems. Your success will depend upon your ability to utilise and prioritise your LEAN resources according to business needs. Also you will need to align and agree on what to focus on and what not to focus on with the department managers on a daily basis. Qualifications You hold a BSc. or similar undergraduate degree, but a MSc. or MA within engineering, business, or economics is preferred. It is absolutely essential that you have a strong track record of managing complex LEAN projects with great results. Also your ability to manage your team will be essential to your success. Strong analytical skills as well as the ability to coach and challenge leaders, in order to have them set a clear direction for their area are important. You are able to drive processes proactively in a complex production environment with many stakeholders, and you enjoy building relations across organisational areas and levels. Experience with applying LEAN manufacturing concepts, and change management to sustain implementation is a prerequisite. Based on your experience in handling high complexity you are able to prioritise and deliver results without compromising the overall focus.
