Grundfos offers an opportunity to create legal solutions which balance legal and commercial interests and play a key role in the execution of global projects. You will join Group Legal affairs where we are responsible for drafting and negotiating major contracts in the Grundfos Group. Your team consists of 17 colleagues, and you will join the Practice Area Commercial with 3 Legal Counsels. You will refer to General Counsel: Andreas F. Brandt. As Legal Counsel, you work from Brøndby but also spend some time with the rest of the team in Bjerringbro as well. Together with your colleagues your responsibility is to support the Grundfos Global Water Utility Center, Global Accounts. More specifically, you assist local Grundfos sales companies all over the world in evaluating and executing new building and refurbishment projects. This involves evaluating tenders, tenders bids, negotiating service contracts, sub-contracts and commercial contracts in general along with handling subsequent claims. Further, you provide business units with advice on legal risks and mitigation options as well as develop and implement relevant risk management procedures in the Grundfos Group. Another important task is to train Grundfos employees within selected legal areas. You travel about 20-40 days a year to projects around the world. Your main challenge in this position will be to ensure focus to the business case and at the same time stay focused on the legal details. You have to be able to initiate solutions which balance legal risks and commercial attractiveness, and we trust you to provide us with recommendations and solutions that will benefit the company. Hvad skal der til for at ansøge? You have a Master’s degree in Law and the right to practice as a Lawyer as well as 5+ years of experience working with large international contracts based on FIDIC, Orgalime, NEC3 or similar template in a major international contracting organization, large international law firm or in an in-house legal department. You are confident in your decision-making and take responsibility for your decisions when creating a solution. Business insight and a sharp customer focus is essential and you speak and write English fluently. It is an advantage if you have work experience from one or more of the following regions: Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa or Asia. As a person, you have a high degree of professional integrity and confidence in your decisions. Because of these traits, you are able to balance the risk assessment of the projects with their commercial appeal. Also, since you will be working with people from all over the world, it is important that you are a team player who can react and adjust to changing conditions. For the same reasons, you have excellent communication and negotiation skills.
