We are searching for a talented Legal Counsel to play a strategic role in helping our fast-growing, award-winning company. The ideal candidate will be a commercially aware lawyer with excellent legal knowledge, negotiation skills and a solution-oriented attitude. You’ll be a key member of the team and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on company standards and procedures. 

THE ROLE

As a Legal Counsel in Better Collective, you will be part of a talented, skilled and very ambitious team. You will provide legal guidance to a variety of internal stakeholders and help drive our contract lifecycle process. You will  balance commercial and contractual goals with legal and risk factors and work most closely with commercial law, advertising regulations, e-commerce and gambling law. Occasionally, international travel will be required.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive the contract lifecycle from negotiation through to contract execution, including managing contract change control processes and related correspondence requiring legal input.
• Maintain a deep understanding of contract templates, contract policy, legal risk and liability, and company position on various matters.
• Support the company’s M&A activity, from due diligence through to integration.
• Provide legal counselling in the areas of intellectual property, consumer law, marketing, technology, digital media, privacy and regulatory compliance.
• Project manage the implementation of legal initiatives and projects.
• Provide support to the business on other legal matters on an as-needed basis.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Cand.jur with deposited or currently valid “advokatbestalling”, or equivalent international legal qualification.
• 2-5 years post-qualification experience, preferably in a law firm or in-house with an IT or marketing company.
• Experience in commercial, corporate, data protection or intellectual property law.
• Strong legal drafting and contract management skills.
• Good project management skills.
• Fluency in English with impeccable writing skills. Fluency in Danish is a strong advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a service minded attitude to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and business partners.
• An ability to translate complex legal concepts into simple language and clear action plans.
• An eye for accuracy and a high attention to detail.
• The ability to adapt and an eagerness to learn.
