For our engineering team we are seeking a machine specialist with strong competences in machine construction. As our machine specialist you will be responsible for a product group, where development and maintenance goes hand in hand with a continuous updating of the product program as well as customer adaptions for actual supplies and BOMs. The interface is large both externally and internally, with cooperation across the global organisation in a varying working day. As our machine specialist and responsible for a product group you must be able to coordinate, consolidate and manage the colleagues, who globally work within the same product group, and you must be able to gather knowledge in the organisation. The job is very versatile and it is vital that you thrive in a dynamic environment, where no two days are alike, and where you at the same time do not lose perspective and your sense of detail. Your primary responsibilities will be in the areas of: •PQIP •Risk assessment – maintain technical dossier •Participate in approval of suppliers for A-parts •Yearly cost reduction plan •Regular input for new R&D project •Up-to-date configurator BOM •Make sure the price is right – cost optimize features •Training of hub-engineers, including up-to-date training material •Spot check of BOMs from hubs and keep statistics •Tools for capacity calculation •Collect and act on feedback from market (site installation, service, sales etc.) Your qualifications You must be in possession of a strong technical education, such as mechanical engineer, as well as a minimum of 4 years’ experience from a relevant position. If you have a professional background as for example smith or similar, this will be an advantage. Your capabilities must be within amongst others: materials, fluid mechanics, CE, GPS knowledge, manufacturing processes, and project planning. You must be capable in English at a high level both in writing and orally. We use AutoCAD, Inventor, and Vault. In some case we use ANSYS; therefore experience within this area will be a strength.
