The Mads Clausen Institute (MCI), part of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Southern Denmark, offers a full-time position as a Machine specialist/technical chief as of 1 November 2015. So far, the position is limited until 31 December 2017. The Mads Clausen Institute is located in the inspiring building of Alsion that is place of residence for a number of enterprises in the Science Park; South Jutland Symphony Orchestra and the concert hall of Alsion. Thus, the university has close bonds to the industrial as well as the cultural environment of Sønderborg. In line with a new strategic track of the Mads Clausen Institute, the institute is establishing a roll-to-roll (R2R) laboratory for research and development of mechanically flexible components; including solar cells and light emitting diodes based on organic thin film. The R2R laboratory offers a complete collection of equipment for R2R processing, among them R2R coating of polymer materials and R2R vacuum deposition. Assignments of the Machine specialist/technical chief in the roll-to-roll (R2R) laboratory include: • Setting-up, installing and testing R2R equipment in the R2R laboratory at MCI • Maintaining R2R equipment in the R2R laboratory at MCI The following qualifications and skills are desired but no condition for being employed: • Experience of setting-up, maintaining and running R2R equipment • Experience of maintaining and running equipment for thin film deposition or coating Applications must be submitted electronically using the link below.
