Do you have an engineering background and a keen interest in offshore maintenance, either because you would like to try to work within oil & gas – or because you want to challenge yourself in new surroundings? Detailed technical knowledge within maintenance One of the key challenges as a maintenance engineer is to act as the liaison between design teams onshore and maintainers offshore. Furthermore, you will also focus on increasing our competency pallet within the disciplines of maintenance and mechanical completion (electrical and mechanical). In doing so, you will be a project team member in large and medium-sized maintenance projects for our clients. In addition to that, you will be responsible for developing maintenance procedures/schedules for topside process equipment and spare part specifications for process equipment, as part of our department’s delivery. Finally, you could also become responsible for developing mechanical completion procedures, check sheets and review commissioning procedures. In addition to the above, you will also: •Specify spare parts for process equipment, set up maintenance plans, programs and procedures •Assist on larger projects and run minor projects on your own •Make reviews of and structure technical documentation •Be responsible for tasks such as equipment failure identification, criticality analyses, documentation updates and quality control •Support our team that identify spare part and tools requirement for service and break down of equipment and structure these parts/tool in KIT system. The KIT system is of great importance in the offshore industry to ensure that equipment is fully operational and to avoid costly shutdowns. As a maintenance engineer you will also get work offshore anywhere from a few days to 2 weeks a month together with travelling to other Ramboll offices and client’s offices. Personal interest in solving challenges independently As you will be working in a global environment, you have a strong ability to work with colleagues from different cultures and hence show respect for the contributions of your colleagues. You also find it natural to consult other people and share information and knowledge with them which enables you to build strong relations both within the company and outside it. Equally important are your skills to be both structured and proactive which means that you understand the importance of setting plans, being adaptable in the process and manage your time effectively to ensure that things are delivered on time, every time. You pride yourself of a high sense of quality which you ensure through a systematic, methodical and orderly work fashion. Further, you are able to quickly acquire a broad knowledge of an industry with a large variety of disciplines and very high standards for safety, environment and cost impact which is seen through your ability to learn new tasks fast and a solid memory of information presented to you. Your technical background is reflected in the below: •A B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer, Electrical Engineer or Technical Manager Offshore •Possibly a few years of experience from maintenance disciplines in the offshore industry, power plants, ships, wind, etc. •Or a technical background from previous job(s) as a craftsman, maintenance engineer or the like •Fluent both orally and written in English •Used to working with IT programmes such as Excel, Word, SAP and PM/MM Your new colleagues You will be part of a fast growing department with approx. 30 dedicated colleagues who works implementing strategic asset management, develops maintenance improvement programmes, and provides courses within maintenance and production optimisation.
