Description Global work scope – Customer-facing role Radiometer is now looking to appoint a Manager for the Application Support team, who will be responsible for application support related activities globally. This is a new position that became necessary with the growth of Technical Product Support & Service department. You will have the direct leadership responsibility for a team of 6 global technical product managers, and in additional to this you will interact closely across the matrix with product managers/ specialist, technical service & sales around the world. The job To become successful, you must: •Build productive relationships and network with global product specialist, product managers and service leaders. •Manage across a matrix team from product specialist, Operations, R&D and Product maintenance teams. •Establish Standard Work and processes for application issues arising from the field. •In coordination with R&D, Product maintenance teams and Customer Quality and the global service force, you must improve and sustain the process for customer defect tracking and resolution. •Lead global application support initiatives in close collaboration with the team of product managers/specialist and customer care leaders. •Improve 2nd line application support to the benefit of customer’s and business profitability. You must expect travel activity of up to 30% at peak times, often with short notice. However, we believe that the following formal qualifications will improve your chances of success: •University degree (Bachelor or Master) in relevant science or technical field, e.g. Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering. •And/or a relevant medical degree, e.g. clinical chemist, laboratory technician. •Strong application-technical background from experience in global roles, such as: oProduct Specialist oApplication Specialist oProduct Management oService Manager/Representative •Experience must include successful leadership. •Knowledge of Applications support and coordination/dispatch best practices and performance measurement standards. •Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally •Proven ability to work cross-functionally to achieve business outcomes. •Competent in a customer-facing role. Can meet with customers in the analysis of complaints and work through the implementation of solutions, in concert with the local specialist, service and sales team. •Ability to lead projects as necessary to alleviate customer application issues and complaints as well as drive the development of work-around, trouble-shooting, short-term countermeasures and best practices. •Extremely effective and efficient using spreadsheets and presentation software to carry out analysis and communicate complex ideas. •Working language is English (fluency speaking, reading & writing required); additional languages would be an asset. •Medical
