About the department In Global Development, we take responsibility for new products based on proteins and peptides from early development phases to product introduction. We are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide, securing that the process lives up to uniform global standards, regulations and business ethics. We work in global project teams with focus on delivering viable products that make a difference to patients and ultimately benefit society. We are looking to employ a new Manager for one of four Data Management Operations teams supporting the Insulin and Diabetes Outcome project. DM Operations is responsible for ensuring the many systems we use for collecting data for our trials are correctly linked so as there is a proper and timely flow of data though our databases and ultimately, for ensuring the timely deliverable of accurate data to stakeholders for further analysis. DM Operations supports several stakeholders both within and outside Global Development and has a strong focus on upholding high quality and timely deliveries, which are key since we support an essential part of clinical drug development in Novo Nordisk. Our department is working closely with internal as well as external partners locally and internationally. The job You will be responsible for day to day management of a team of highly dedicated 10–15 data managers working in the Insulin & Diabetes Outcome area, providing leadership, direction and prioritisation as necessary for the unit. You will coach, mentor and develop the team in alignment with business needs and Novo Nordisk Way. As a Manager, you will report to the Data Management Operations Director and collaborate closely with peer managers as well as other areas of Data Management, including our Global Service Center in Bangalore, India. On a daily basis, you will collaborate closely with the Project Data Managers to ensure deliveries and resources allocation to the Key Development Projects. You will also take up various ad-hoc tasks and/or projects, e.g. represent DM Operations in cross functional projects and drive improvement projects and new initiatives within our own area. As part of the Data Management Operations management team we also expect you to take part in the maintenance and innovation of Data Management as being a good and challenging place to work. Qualifications You will have minimum 5 years of experience with clinical trial conduct and minimum 2 years’ experience with project or line management. In addition, you possess a profound knowledge of drug development and computer systems/IT. You have experience with development of clinical standards and knowledge of external standards and collaboration across professional and regional borders. You understand the regulatory requirements associated with data collected in clinical systems and can transform this to support the business. As a person you are motivated and enthusiastic and have the power to influence. You are adaptable with a flexible attitude, both regarding organisation, staff and environment. We also expect that you are honest, committed and responsible as well as an organisational talent including being efficient and systematic.
