Would you like to help us ensure that the installation of our offshore wind projects is delivered on time, within budget and with an excellent safety performance? Join us and become Manager in our newly established department for Project Execution within Offshore Cable Installation in Offshore Management. We are responsible for ensuring that our projects are planned according to best practice, and that we continuously focus on improving our efficiency to lower the cost of electricity as well as on maintaining high safety standards. Project Execution in Offshore Cable Installation is part of Wind Power which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area or in Skærbæk near Fredericia. However, you should expect extensive travel in relation to your work as part of your work will be done at our onshore and offshore sites in Northern Europe. Areas of responsibility As Manager, you are responsible for the execution of our Offshore Cable Installation campaigns in our projects. Your main focus is to ensure that the projects from contract signing to completion reflect best practise within the industry. In close cooperation with the project managers, you make sure that we mature select concepts that are safe and robust. In addition, you ensure that we support continuous improvement within Cable Installation leading to better performance and to lowering the cost of electricity. Another part of your role is to be responsible for the administrative and daily management required to lead a successful department. You collaborate with the Manager for Project Development in Offshore Cable Installation to coordinate competence development, development and recruitment of employees within the functional area. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: keep abreast of changing applicable legislation and co-ordinate with other parts of DONG Energy assist in the development of corporate strategies as appropriate collaborate with other relevant parts of the organisation in regards to which technical solutions are selected on upcoming projects contribute to develop key documents for the department ensure a strong collaboration in the department as well as between the UK and Danish management team. Your profile You are a mechanical engineer, civil engineer or bachelor of engineering with considerable experience in construction of large offshore infrastructure projects. You understand how to work within a matrix project oriented organisation in order to successfully lead the department. You speak and write English fluently. As a person, you have excellent communication and people skills and excel in working internationally with various partners. You have an analytical approach to your tasks. In addition, you are structured, results-oriented, flexible and adaptable, enabling you to handle your tasks even in a hectic environment.
