Are you up for a leadership challenge in getting a newly established and growing team of technical assistants and document controllers to provide even better support to our prestigious offshore wind projects? Join us and become manager for Technical Documentation Support which is responsible for supporting wind farm projects in relation to handling of technical documentation provided by contractors for use in our projects. The team is part of Document and Records Management which consists of three areas: Records Management, Technical Documentation Specialists and Technical Documentation Support. The department is part of Wind Power which has 1800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work as we are located in Gentofte, Skærbæk, London and sites around Northern Europe. Your key duties will be to •provide the right resources for projects, including to recruit staff when needed •ensure continuous dialogue with project management •assure quality of work performed by own resources •develop best practices for document controlling and technical assistance •manage and develop a team of 7-8 permanently employed and 19-21 external consultants. As the area is expanding rapidly and provides support on-site within the projects as part of a strong matrix organisation, you should be comfortable managing a virtual team. Your qualifications and core competences include that you •have a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in management or similar, for example within information, quality or engineering •have experience with technical documentation and document controlling •can demonstrate staff responsibility, having managed employees from a distance •speak and write English fluently •thrive in an international environment and are able to create good relationships with your stakeholders. Additionally, you have good communication skills, enabling you to manoeuvre efficiently in a complex matrix environment. You have good people skills and see yourself as a good motivator.
