Would you like to use your leadership skills and competences within electronics to develop new products in a global organisation? Then be the Manager for our Electronics Development Laboratory in Bjerringbro, Denmark, which is part of the Grundfos global laboratory with stations in Denmark, Hungary, China and Finland. In Electronics Development Laboratory, we are 35 engineers, tecnicians and trainees, who are responsible for making prototypes and testing hardware and software. Also, we support PCB design, hardware prototypes, EMC tests, thermal tests, early warning, field tests etc. You refer to Global Laboratory Manager, Global Business Development Laboratory, Lars Kvist. ”The atmosphere in the department is characterised by a relentless passion for electronics, while we also maintain a strong focus on people. Besides leading the department, you will alsobe part of our management team consisting of 7 experienced and skilled managers. Here, you will experience daily sparring and a strong team spirit,” explains Lars. What is the job about? As Manager, you are primarily responsible for securing our deliveries for development and product maintenance projects within tests, verification and prototypes. You do so by constantly developing and motivating your employees to secure performance while ensuring that deliveries happen within agreed time, price and quality. Moreover, your role also reaches across the entire global laboratory, as you will be responsible for specific deliveries for a certain product. Part of your job will have to do with optimising our processes and methods. When necessary, you introduce new processes and test procedures to ensure constant development of the department. This also entails making sure that we have the right resources and competences to keep delivering increased product quality. “Your challenge will be to secure long term competences. Increasingly, we have to be ambitious in terms of how we develop our lab so we can contribute to development together with product developers, project managers, product managers and development engineers. In doing do, we create even more value for the Grundfos customers,” Lars says. What do you need to apply? You are an Electronics Engineer and have management or project management experience - preferably from a large organisation. Alternatively, you work as a Specialist and now wish to take on management. It is an advantage, if you have experience with product development. And you speak and write both Danish and English. “On a personal level, you are outgoing and a manager who is present and understands how to engage people. Moreover, you are results-oriented and have a strong interest in electronics. As a manager, you set a good example and are well-liked by your colleagues, who you are able to challenge. And finally, you are proactive and can set the direction for the department,” Lars finishes.
