Can you motivate and lead a team of highly skilled employees responsible for cable-related specialist works for our prestigious offshore wind projects?

 

Join us and become Manager of our newly established specialist department where you’ll be responsible for specialist works across export and array cables. In addition, you’ll be responsible for onshore installation of export cables for our global wind power projects. You’ll manage a department of 10 employees based at our Danish offices in Skærbæk and Gentofte, and our at London office in the UK.

 

Your key tasks will be to

• conduct line management and provide leadership
• recruit and train people and manage people development
• develop how we work with our specialist tasks, by ensuring strong processes, good cooperation and stakeholder management, especially towards the array and export team, as well to external stakeholders such as offshore cable installation, Substations and our O&M functions when needed
• ensure the quality of the work carried out by the department and set the direction for how we work
• ensure that work is carried out according to plan and specifications.

 

In addition, you’ll optimise your organisation to be prepared for the future in an ever-changing environment. You’ll develop your employees’ business acumen to perform efficiently and will ensure cross-organisational collaboration to enable innovation, improvements and the co-creation of value with our customers to reduce cost of electricity and streamline our business.

 

Your competences include that you

• have a master’s degree in electrical engineering within the field of power systems
• have experience with managing engineers across geographical distances in a strong matrix organisation
• have a solid technical understanding and relevant experience within the wind power industry, preferably, coupled with experience with MV/HV/EHV cable technology, technical risk assessment and product quality
• have a passion for leadership and development of talented engineers, and a proactive and systematic approach to your work tasks
• thrive in an international environment and excel in creating good relationships with your stakeholders.

 

In addition, you speak and write English fluently and are good at explaining complex matters in a simple way. You’re a skilled change manager, who’s constantly looking to challenge the norms and boost performance and stakeholder management.

 

Furthermore, you thrive in an international environment, can create good relationships with your stakeholders and have a structured, service-minded and flexible approach to your tasks. You’re independent and a strong initiator with the ability to solve challenging issues within a complex matrix organisation. Finally, you’re familiar with submarine cables standards – CIGRE, IEC, ICEA.
