Description Global service – Customer-facing role Radiometer is now looking to appoint a Manager for the Technical Service team, who will be responsible for technical service related activities globally. This is a new position that became necessary with the growth of Technical Product Support & Service department. As manager of the Technical Product Service you will have the direct leadership responsibility for a team of 4 global service experts. In additional to this, you will be very much hands-on and interact closely across the matrix with technical service & sales around the world. The job To become successful, you must: •Build productive relationships and network with global service leaders. •Manage across a matrix team from service, Operations, R&D and Product maintenance teams. •Establish Standard Work and processes for technical concerns arising from the fild. •In coordination with R&D, Product maintenance teams and Customer Quality and the global service force improve and sustain the process for customer defect tracking and resolution. •Lead global service initiatives in close collaboration with the team of service and customer care leaders. •Improve 2nd line technical service, to the benefit of customer’s and business profitability. You must expect travel activity of up to 50% at peak times, often with short notice. However, we believe that the following formal qualifications will improve your chances of success: •University degree (Bachelor or Master) in a relevant science or technical field, e.g. Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering •Strong technical background from experience in relevant global roles, such as: oService Manager/Service Representative oProduct Management oProduct Specialist oApplication Specialist •Experience must include successful leadership. •Knowledgeable of Field Service, support and Coordination/dispatch best practices and performance measurement standards. •Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally. •Proven ability to work cross-functionally to achieve business outcomes. •Competent in a customer-facing role. Can meet with customers in the analysis of complaints and work through the implementation of solutions, in concert with the local service and sales team. •Ability to lead projects as necessary to alleviate customer technical issues and complaints as well as drive the development of work-arounds, trouble-shooting, short-term countermeasures and best practices. •Medical industry and international work experience would be a plus. •Working language is English (fluency speaking, reading & writing required); additional languages an asset. •Extremely effective and efficient using spreadsheets and presentation software to carry out analysis and communicate complex ideas.
