Managers for Analytical Development within Bioassay

If yes then please keep reading! Two manager positions are available. One is in the BioActivity department and one is in the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) BioAnalysis department. About the department The departments, BioActivity and API BioAnalysis, are both part of Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) drug product development in the R&D organisation. BioActivity belongs to VP area CMC Injectable Protein Formulation (IPF) and the BioAnalysis department belongs to CMC API Analytical Development (CMC AAD). Our focus is to develop and document analytical bioassay methods as well as supply the entire Novo Nordisk development pipeline with analytical results. We are involved from first human dose to phase III where the analytical methods are transferred to QC. Both departments have approximately 30 employees and is organised in three teams, and you will head up one of the departments responsible for development of analytical bioassays methods. The departments consist of highly skilled and experienced analytical Scientists and Technicians. Working here means; having a strong focus on scientific skills in a dynamic environment with a social and engaging atmosphere. In BioActivity we focus on analytical potency methods (i.e. cell based assay as well as clot/chromogenic assays) and in API BioAnalysis we focus on molecular biology methods (Southern Blot, plasmid copy number, DNA residue) and Immuno bioassay methods (ELISA based methods). The position You will be responsible for the department to meet and exceed project and organisational goals. This means that you make sure you deliver the methods needed, on time, in order for our development pipeline to keep moving along. Your deliverance also includes documentation according to our standards and GMP. Your way to success will be by focusing on developing the department through visible leadership and clear goal setting. Together with other department managers you will be part of the VP management team. Through the management team you will be part of setting the overall direction of where we are going and how to get there. This will be the place where you will have the chance to lead the way and be a role model in a LEAN culture environment. Qualifications You hold a M.Sc. or equivalent in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy or other relevant scientific discipline. You have proven practical experience in protein analysis and analytical method development. You have a minimum of 2 years of people management experience with a strong track record, ideally from the pharmaceutical industry. On a personal level, you have an innovative mind-set and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
