Maritime Chartering Manager

For our Maritime and Aviation Solutions department we are looking for a Maritime Chartering Manager with service operation vessel/platform supply vessel experience to support globally with chartering of accommodation and DP vessels.

About the role

As a global Maritime Chartering Manager, you will be part of a dedicated competence group supporting sourcing logistical assets for our offshore wind farm service activities. Upon request you will in collaboration with Procurement be in lead of the tendering tender team being fully responsible for both the commercial and technical aspects of the charter agreement.

You will ensure that we have the needed vessel capacity within time and budget at the right performance, quality and safety and at the best terms and condition.

In the wider perspective you will also be the go-to person for SOV pricing models and market forecast as well as you will set the future sourcing strategies for this specific asset.

 

About you

As a person you are an extrovert and will be motivated by good team effort. You will naturally enjoy having a finger on the pulse and actively engaging with the market to be on the forefront of developments. You will naturally feel comfortable sitting in supplier negotiations negotiating contract terms and conditions with tight deadlines and high business impact.

As a leading part of a fast paced and dynamic sourcing process, you will be confident and able to take decisions on your own while also knowing when to consult with other stakeholders in the organization. When things get tough, you will look for alternative ways and methods in collaboration with the customer, the team and wider range of stakeholders.

Orally you will be able to communicate clearly and be able to convey detailed and complex terms to non-experts. Likewise, you will be able to establish a high-level overview and transmit the impacts of technical and operational risks into financial / commercial impacts and vice versa. You can balance the contrast between detailed analysis and progress while also integrating innovation into your work. You should be well versed in IT systems.

To fulfil the role, you will need to have a detailed understanding of what it would say to work in an offshore environment and how environmental conditions and performance of logistical assets effect work efficiency. Likewise, you will need to have commercial and technical experience with vessel charter parties either from operations or negotiations.

Preferably you will also have experience with the offshore wind industry and the commercial and technical performance aspects of a modern offshore windfarm.

In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
