Primarily, we are consultants for contractor consortiums in connection with the Fehmarn belt, which requires the close cooperation across a number of in-house technical disciplines.

Overview:

The business unit for Bridge, Tunnels and Marine has approximately 1250 employees which are serviced by the Mechanical & Electrical section for large infrastructure systems. Today COWI experiences an increased demand for its services keeping the quality and  delivering substantial results. This strengthened position in the market brings a continuous flow of new extensive and challenging projects and consequently, we are seeking to expand our Mechanical team for infrastructure projects.

Requirements: knowledge, skills and experience required:

• You will ideally hold a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• You will have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience ideally on the infrastructure projects within the buildings sector – ideally with experience in installations in underground structures
• You will have experience of engineering design development of Piping, Drainage, Fire Fighting and/or HVAC systems
• You master the Scandinavian languages and English, both written and orally
• You will possess an in-depth knowledge of appropriate mechanical systems and up to date it-applications
• You will be adept at working within a team environment, be flexible and be capable of working in a structured manner
• You will be self-motivated with good interpersonal skills
• You feel motivated by working in an international atmosphere communicating with colleagues around the globe on a daily basis

Role Summary:

Reporting to the Head of Section, you will be accountable for producing / checking designs and calculations for a variety of mechanical systems, liaising with clients and other stakeholders and mentoring / developing less experienced engineers.

This role will offer you significant opportunities for skills and career development and the chance to work on some of the most technically challenging projects across the world.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing technical leadership to projects

• Developing the conceptual design and producing engineering designs and details in accordance with project requirements within you field
• Developing and implementing design best practices in areas of expertise, in addition, ensures conformance with all applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
• Preparing / checking of calculations and drawings, writing reports
• Assisting with tenders and bids
• Inspecting and documenting of mechanical systems
• Planning, resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting for assigned project(s)
• Building relationships with clients and other stakeholders
• Mentoring and developing less experienced team members to allow them to achieve their full potential
