Then have a look at this exciting career opportunity in our Continuous Improvement (CIM) Engineering, Nacelle Power and Handling department. Technology & Service Solutions > Nacelle, Power & Handling > Nacelle Engineering Improvements CIM Engineering is a part of Nacelle Engineering - Nacelle Power and Handling in Vestas Technology. Within Nacelle Power and handling we handle all major cases related to failure in the field in CIM Engineering. Responsibilities You are to take technical ownership of trouble shooting and analysis, primarily on structural components to find failure cause and to find solutions to the failure. Additionally, you are to monitor and support old/non active cases on an ongoing basis. Furthermore, your responsibilities include: •Technical ownership of cases related to Structural components •To perform and/or lead Root Cause Analysis activities •Technical Lead on development of retrofit solutions •Technical Lead on improved solutions •Technical evaluation of new improvement cases/after sales options- •Technical support to Regional Engineering/technical support departments •Cooperation with 3rd party companies/sub suppliers developing technical solutions •Providing input to future products/solutions and technical review on future products/solutions •Participation in the commodity team Qualifications •Mechanical engineer, M. Sc. or B. Sc. or similar •Experience within structural mechanical components will be an advantage •Experience in the wind power business will be beneficial but not a requirement Competencies •Good communication skills in English both written and verbal •You have an analytical mindset, are pro-active and have leadership skills and would like to use it in your everyday work. •You take responsibility and are passionate about what you do •You are customer oriented and have the ability to understand the business value chain seen from a service and customer perspective. •Knowledge about Six Sigma/DMAIC methodology is an advantage What we offer As the gateway to Technology R&D, you will find yourself in an exciting and sometimes unpredictable job with excellent colleagues.
