Would you like to find excellent technical solutions and be responsible for analysis of main-bearing and drivetrain related components? Then have a look at this exciting career opportunity in our Continuous Improvement (CIM) Engineering, Nacelle Power and Handling department. CIM Engineering in Nacelle Power and handling, Nacelle Engineering CIM Engineering is a part of Nacelle Engineering - Nacelle Power and Handling in Vestas Technology. Within Nacelle Power and handling we handle all major cases related to failure in the field in CIM Engineering Responsibilities Technical ownership of trouble shooting, analysis on Main-bearing and drivetrain related components to find failure cause and to find solutions to that. Technical ownership of cases related to main bearings, gear boxes, lube system and auxiliaries components. Perform and/or lead Root Cause Analysis activities. Technical Lead on development of retrofit solutions Technical Lead on improved solutions Technical evaluation of new improvement cases/after sales options. Monitoring of old/non active cases Technical support to Regional Engineering/Technical support departments. Cooperation with 3rd party companies/sub suppliers developing technical solutions. Provide input to future products/solutions Technical review on future products/solutions. Participate in the commodity team Qualifications Mechanical engineer, M. Sc. or B. Sc. or similar Experience within the wind power business with gearboxes/drivetrains as main working area will be beneficial but not a requirement. Competencies Good communication skills in English both written and verbal, as you will be working both with internal and external colleagues and partners in a global multi-cultural environment. You have leadership skills and would like to use it in your everyday work. You are pro- active and analytical. You take responsibility You are passionate about what you do You are customer oriented and have the ability to understand the business value chain seen from a service and customer perspective. Knowledge about Six Sigma/DMAIC methodology is an advantage.
