For our Operative Engineering Department based at our EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) office in Brande, Denmark we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to strengthen the Drivetrain team which is responsible for all mechanical parts of the drivetrain. As the Operative Engineering Department is mainly working with product updates and development on turbine platforms in production, you will have a lot of cross-organizational contacts and be able to see the results of your work immediately either in our production or on sites. What are my responsibilities? As a Mechanical Engineer, High-speed Components you will be responsible for the high-speed components related to the gearbox and work closely together not only with colleagues from our regional Engineering departments in China, the US and Europe, but also with our Supply Chain Management and Service in order to ensure the highest quality in solutions for high-speed brakes, couplings and shrink elements. Your main responsibilities will be: · Supporting product development projects with solutions within the technology area. · Day-to-day support to regional Engineering departments. · Making root cause analyses and design solutions for warranty cases together with Service and suppliers. · Developing and qualifying new suppliers together with Procurement and Quality departments. · Handling non-conformity cases and ensuring corrective actions in your capacity as Design Director for high-speed components. · Drawing up technical specifications. · Reviewing design solutions within the technology area and other areas where your knowledge may be applied. · Performing technical discussions with customers and suppliers. What do I need to qualify for this job? · You have an education as a Mechanical Engineer (B.Sc. or M.Sc), preferably with some years of experience within the mentioned areas. Alternatively you have finished your studies in Mechanical Engineering with good results, and are now looking for your first job. · You are outgoing and process-oriented and capable of working independently as well as in a team. Furthermore, you are structured and innovative and have a technically sound and commercially viable approach to assignment work. · You have the ability to interact at all levels in a dynamic environment. · You possess good communication and English skills, both orally and in writing. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. What else do I need to know?
