Designing the future As a Mechanical Engineer at Universal Robots, you must take overall responsibility for the mechanics in the robot by applying your strong knowledge of mechanics and working together with your colleagues. You will become part of a high-performance team which is jointly responsible for devising and developing new robot mechanical designs in close collaboration with software and electronics. As part of the job, you will get to work with: 3D design in Solid Works of all mechanical robot parts Simulation of mechanical components Preparation and maintenance of drawings Regular optimisation of prices, weight, strength, etc. Development of robust design specifications, including D-FMEA Preparation of testplans and -specifications Quality assessment and selection of suppliers (in close cooperation with the procurement department) Passion and perfection You have an education as mechanical engineer, preferably a Master degree. It is key to us, that your approach is thorough and that you are able to create designs working the first time. You will also be involved in designing maintenance-free mechanics, which must work perfectly under changing environmental impacts. You are fluent in written and spoken English. We expect you to be flexible and a fast-learner, as our set-up is continuously evolving. You are excited about development and results, and you have an analytical approach to your work. You are structured and know how to work independently as well as part of a team. You thrive in a busy working environment and have a passion for solving complex tasks.
