Operational tasks and main responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Foreman your main responsibility will be to oversee the daily operation of the mechanical team and the maintenance of all the equipment on site.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Overall responsibility of the daily operation of the mechanical team and all mechanical activities on site. This includes planning and coordinating, and ensuring that the team has the proper information to execute the work.
• Ensuring that the teams are always following the safety rules at all times during maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Coordinating activities with site engineers, in order to e.g. prepare purchase requests and have the tools and equipment necessary to perform the works in a safe and timely manner.
• Ensure that the site always has equipment in good condition, and that it is maintained in a proper way. This includes performing inspection of all incoming equipment on site, and ensuring that all the tools, equipment, and areas of work are safe at all times.
• Ordering spare parts and ensuring that the stock is always available.
• Doing daily rounds on site.
• Reporting and performing several administrative tasks such as writing daily activity reports, filing of documentation, as well as ensuring and following up on that equipment is up to date certificates, registration, etc.

Education and experience requirements:

• Engineering degree
• Experience in a mechanical workshop in big scale construction projects
• Experience in a Plant Department for 10 years
• Experience with heavy equipment

Key Skills and Knowledge to be successful in this position:

• Can communicate in English
• Computer literate, skilled in excel
• Good communication skills
• Flexibility concerning on assignments
