Do you want to play a key role in ensuring highest safety and lowest possible risk to patients that use Novo Nordisk products? You may be our new colleague in Safety Surveillance. Global Safety (GS) has a vacant position as Senior Safety Surveillance Adviser in the Safety Surveillance GLP-1 and obesity department. About the department Safety Surveillance is an area within Global Safety and is situated in Bagsværd. Our team of dedicated and skilled professionals has global responsibility for the surveillance of all safety information for Novo Nordisk’s products that are currently under development or on the market. The Job You will be responsible for the ongoing safety surveillance of one or more products in the GLP-1 portfolio. Key areas of responsibility includes working with big data sets containing information on adverse events(sort, filter, pivot in excel) and reading the case stories of the patients in order to analyse and assess the data for signal detection and medical input to safety reporting for benefit risk assessments. Furthermore you will be presenting safety overviews to a cross-functional safety committee consisting of highly experienced physicians, scientists and managers within the company and you will give input to protocols for drug development and reporting of safety data in clinical trial reports. You will work independently and in collaboration with a team of highly skilled, committed and enthusiastic colleagues. Assuming responsibility, communicating information and taking action will be a part of your work day. Qualifications You have a university degree within Natural Sciences (MD, DVM, M.Sc. Pharm. or equivalent) and have 3-4 years of experience within pharmacovigilance (in signal detection, trending, safety reporting and risk management) and/or drug development. A scientific degree (e.g. PhD) is an advantage but not a must. A very good understanding of medical concepts, disease processes, pathophysiology and scientific methodology is important and experience with investigational new drug applications is an advantage. As a person you are responsible, well-organised, a self-starter, able to work under pressure when needed, have a strong analytical sense and are curious. You are a team player, and you are good at establishing contact and collaborating with stakeholders. You must be fluent in English, both written and spoken and be an experienced user of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
