About the department Medical & Science, Insulin, GH and Devices at Novo Nordisk A/S headquarter is part of Global Development and is responsible for the medical part of development of new drugs, devices and life cycle management of marketed drug and device products. The department consists of 18 highly engaged Medical Specialists and 2 assistants. Our organisation is project-centric and internally we work in cross-functional teams. Our key external stakeholders are the scientific community and medical experts, regulatory authorities and market access institutions. The job As an International Medical Specialist you will take on a broad role where focus and daily tasks vary to a great extent, dependent on the assigned project and study life cycle stage. However, we expect that you are capable on taking on the responsibility of being the medical lead of early as well as late stage clinical development projects, collaborate closely with the project vice president of the project and ensure relevant process progression and decision making. It will include being instrumental in providing medical and scientific support to interpretation and documentation of clinical data leading to new drug applications (NDA’s) and variation applications, as well as periodic safety updates on marketed drugs and drugs in clinical development. You will collaborate closely with a variety of colleagues across the Novo Nordisk organisation and across skill area. The job is globally oriented and will require strong interaction with highly skilled colleagues and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, treating physicians and therapeutic experts. The job will require some travel. Qualifications You must hold a university degree as a Medical Doctor and have documented scientific merits as a Ph.D. degree or equivalent within an area related to our research. You have relevant experience with clinical development from the pharmaceutical or biotech industry or alternatively, a significant track record of clinical research from elsewhere. This includes proven track record executing clinical trials and interaction with health authorities You are a reliable, open-minded and dedicated team player, who thrives in a global environment of continuous development, and focuses on completion, quality and results. The job requires proficiency in English, high communication-, coordination-, and planning capabilities, as well as flexibility and a keen sense of quality.
