Do you have a background in mould making, construction or design, and would you like to play a key part in the production of high quality toys for children all over the world? Join Element & Moulds In Mould Design, Element & Moulds, we are responsible for designing moulds including maintaining and developing LEGO Standards and specifications for moulds. You will join 40 dedicated colleagues working with design, standards and CAD development, applying tools and methods such as LEAN and continuous improvements. As Mould Designer, you will take on a very independent position where you help create our core product. As such, you have large impact on the quality of toys that will reach end-users, and you continuously challenge and improve the standard for mould design. Develop designs and redesigns Together with the Internal Design Team, you deliver high quality mould designs. Although you will get feedback from your colleagues, this is a very independent role and you spend the majority of your time working on redesigns with a high level of complexity. This requires an innovative approach to the projects in order to get the simplicity we want in our future designs. At the same time, you participate in the development of new mould concepts and stay up-to-date on the newest developments within mould design, enabling you to challenge our current processes. This includes interacting and conferring with internal and external stakeholders such as suppliers, production, and element designers in order to create the best possible results. Your central challenge will be to create the best possible mould solutions, focusing on both quality and feasibility while at the same time innovate and challenge our established processes. Initially, you will also be challenged in terms of getting familiar with LEGO Mould standards and practices. Creative and driven Mould Design Professional You have a background in mould making or mould design. You have previously worked within the moulding industry and you have experience working with 3D design and CAD systems. Your English is at a medium/high level. As a person, you are a result-oriented team player. You thrive creating high quality solutions from idea to finished product, and you constantly look for improvement potential in all of our business areas. Finally, you have excellent communication skills and enjoy working with stakeholders e.g. to get their take on the processes and products.
