Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work with sourcing activities in a global context? Then you may be our new Negotiator in the Negotiation and Contract Management department in Strategic Sourcing. About the department Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, and we are responsible for the strategic sourcing activities related to Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. We organise our activities in sourcing categories through a strong cross-organisational category group set-up. The department Negotiation and Contract Management is a new department in Strategic Sourcing, our key task is to support categories across Strategic Sourcing in their negotiations. The job As Negotiator, it is your responsibility to ensure that negotiations with worldwide suppliers are conducted at a professional level and with the best possible result for Novo Nordisk. You will carry commercial negotiations together with the category managers, securing contracts for Novo Nordisk and ensuring that the negotiations are professionally planned, prepared and timely carried out. In the process, you will formulate a clear vision and articulate the steps to achieve the negotiation objectives, seek adequate mandate, proactively identify solutions to contractual challenges and secure cooperation and involvement from relevant stakeholders internally and externally. Additionally, you will together with colleagues have a key role in the continued development of the department and our approach to negotiations. This is a new position that offers you a unique opportunity to shape the role and work in close collaboration with stakeholders across the organisation. You will impact the supply chain value by constantly optimizing contracts and negotiation processes, while taking into consideration long-term strategies, quality, and risk as well as environmental and social aspects. You should expect 10-15 travel days per year. Qualifications You hold a Master degree in business, legal or engineering combined with minimum 5 years of proven performance track record with commercial negotiations, preferably from a multinational organisation. Previous experience from the pharmaceutical industry or category management is an advantage. You have strong negotiations skills and a thorough understanding of terms and conditions. You are able to identify contractual risks and potential solutions and are proficient in identifying cost saving opportunities and mitigating business risks. As a person, you are confident with navigating in complex and dynamic organizations and are able analyse the organisations need in specific contractual situations and are based on this able to provide clear guidance on negotiation strategies. You are an outgoing person with a strong personal drive and dedication. As the job requires you to create a broad range of internal stakeholders as with suppliers worldwide, we expect you to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build and maintain good work relationships with your stakeholders. Additionally, you thrive in a busy environment and bring a ‘can-do attitude’ and a healthy sense of humour to your work – also when the pressure is on. Lastly, you are fluent in both oral and written English.
