To grow Maersk Oil’s acreage position in high potential areas, you will lead a multidiscipline team to identify, mature and deliver new and existing exploration plays in defined areas of interest. We Offer Following a refocus on the growth agenda for Maersk Oil, the global New Ventures organisation is now offering a number of opportunities for Explorer Team Leads to make a significant impact on the future of the company. You will be part of a company who is committed to grow our production and reserves base through exploration outside Maersk Oil’s current core areas. High quality basin evaluation and play fairway analysis will be fundamental to identifying new opportunities for the company. Key Responsibilities You will lead the team to undertake regional evaluations and play analysis in the areas of interest, whilst contributing your extensive experience and knowledge in identifying high potential prospectivity. Key responsibilities include: • Guide the technical staff • Evaluate outside exploration/business development opportunities • Direct Participation in license rounds • Proactively approach current company license holders • Develop project plans to deliver products suited to the goals and objectives of the business • Contribute to creating a working environment that promotes positive and goal-oriented outcomes and ensures a safe and incident free work environment • Ensure the development of your team and individual team players to achieve their highest potential. Who we are looking for You are passionate explorer, practiced in play analysis and a proven oil-finder. You have a minimum 15 years relevant exploration experience with operating companies. Broad-based international experience is a plus. You have excellent technical capabilities within the geoscience disciplines, and you are able to quickly identify key risks and develop mitigating strategies. We are looking for outgoing individuals with strong leadership skills, with a mind-set of collaboration and trust, and with willingness to take a team player role.
