The job
The purpose of the role is to handle important new developments in our beer portfolio and there are two key projects to lead:

This first is to scope the process of and implement a new production set-up at our brewery in Fredericia to facilitate the role-out of a new-to-the-world packaging technology. Carlsberg will be the lead brand, but the aim is to roll out the technology to the wider portfolio across other beer, cider and soft drink brands. This technology will put Carlsberg in the forefront of sustainability-in-action by contributing to significant plastic reduction in the Danish trade. Furthermore, it will be a key deliverable in our “Together towards Zero”-strategy in Carlsberg and not least a key enabler in the “betterment journey” of the Carlsberg brand.

The second  is to plan and roll out brew recipes on the Carlsberg brand in the constant pursuit of betterments. The brews will run across multiple sub-brands and require learning agility into the whole value chain from brewing techniques, consumer testing of the brews and business model impact of the various brews in our business mix.

Areas of responsibility
As Project lead, it is your responsibility to coordinate and ensure alignment in both the commercial part of the business and be the key link towards Supply Chain. The pace is high and decisions at times complex, but at the same time you will be in the center of a significant project where your effort will be a concrete change in way we work and make our product offer available to customers.

Understanding both marketing and the supply chain across the business is a plus as changes in demand from the sales team can affect production and logistics. There will be a project lead from supply chain that you co-operate with, but basic knowledge or interest of supply chain is an advantage

Your tasks will include:

• Development of master time schedule in cooperation with Local Supply Company (LSC)
• Creation of the overall business case combining commercial and CAPEX input
• Facilitation of and participation in workshops  
• Facilitation of weekly meetings for the project group
• Securing cooperation between Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance and Group
• Updating stakeholders at all levels of the organization and ensuring buy-in
• Conducting the necessary analysis
• Managing transition from shrink packaging to Snap Pack with stock handling and scrap coordination between supply and demand
• Supporting in installation of the new machines, test runs and learnings of commercial impact
• Listing of new SKUs and delisting of existing SKUs through our Portfolio review meetings and customer SKU creation sheets

You will have a broad stakeholder group across departments of marketing, production, logistics, insights and sales. Denmark is your geographical area of responsibility, but alignment with Carlsberg Group and learning from other markets is key.

The position reports to the Marketing Director - Core Beer, Denmark. The position is timebound to 18 months. Upon successful completion of the projects, further employment in Carlsberg is highly likely.

Your qualifications
Carlsberg is a complex organization where stakeholder management and relations are key. You will have to understand that a change in design, volume or customer demand can affect the outcome of the project and how the scope has to be in Supply Chain. Therefore you have to understand the consequences of deadlines, changes and request and manage the expectation from stakeholders. Knowledge of Carlsberg’s internal processes is an advantage, but not a must.

• Problem solving and analytical skills putting customer, consumers and margins in focus
• Cross-functional team leadership-skills informing stakeholders on expected contributions
• Knowledge of NPD processes and new SKU creation/delisting from a commercial side
• Packaging development/insigths

Personal Competencies

• Strong communication skills keeping stakeholders informed and aware of expected delverables
• Independent, self-starting and with a strong drive
• Structured and systematic with strong process skills following through on decided actions
• Detail-oriented but with the skill to guide the bigger picture
• Motivated by handling complex workstreams
• Connection skills and interest in new people with various backgrounds and experiences

IT-skills in Excel and Powerpoint are important to be effective in your everyday work. Proficient English skills are required and at least a basic level of Danish is helpful.
