Copenhagen K / Local / Procurement / Ref.: GF-065077 Maersk Group Procurement is looking for a Category Manager with experience in the upstream Oil & Gas sector, preferably with logistics experience related to shore bases, warehousing and transportation; road, marine vessels and fixed and rotary aviation services. The role will be part of the Oil & Gas Category Management team based in Copenhagen supporting Maersk Oil’s various business units worldwide (Angola, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Denmark, UK, USA and Norway). You will be part of A.P. Moller-Maersk’s Group Procurement function focused on supporting Maersk Oil. Key Responsibilities You will be involved in developing and implementing category strategies for logistic related spend for the various Maersk Oil business units: • Develop Warehousing, Shore base and Transportation (Road, Air & Sea) contracting strategies • Establish Global Freight Forwarding agreements • Cooperation/sharing arrangements with other operators • Lease/purchase evaluation for Fixed and Rotary Wing aircraft, Supply Vessels, Anchor Handlers, Safety Standby Vessels and Fast Crew Boats etc • Wet lease/dry lease evaluation and economics • Collaboration with technical community and the Procurement organization • Gathering and analysing business and disseminating market intelligence to assist strategic decision making • Developing cost models to support operations and supplier selection • Sharing best practices among business units • Standardise Contract models and establish a global Charter Party. • Establish a common Insurance and Indemnity regime. • Support IT system strategy development and optimisation On an operational level you will also be involved in: • Supplier portfolio development across business units globally • Active collaboration and engagement with suppliers • Supporting operations, projects and investment decisions • Ensuring strategic fit and risk management Supplier performance, service efficiency and optimisation. • Coordination of workshops with stakeholders and suppliers Who we are looking for You have actively been involved in strategic procurement activities for a minimum of 3-5 years where you have acquired experience with Fixed and Rotary Wing aircraft, marine vessel services, Warehousing, Shorebase and Freight Forwarding suppliers, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management or complex project management. It’s a prerequisite that you have strong knowledge of the upstream oil & gas industry. Experience from key Categories related to Logistics is important.
