We Offer • The possibility to act as the Maersk Oil authority on Operations Competence Assurance • Help lead and manage a wide range of disciplines • Gain an in depth understanding of the technical competencies required in a successful oil company • Develop leadership and organizational skills • Develop stakeholder management skills • Develop change management skills • Develop various communication styles depending on target audience The purpose of this position is to implement, govern and monitor the Global Operations Competence Assurance Program for Maersk Oil in line with industry best practice. This includes developing and monitoring Maersk Oil specific requirements, working with and through the Business Units in developing Business Unit specific requirements, communication and stakeholder management throughout all levels of the organization as well as training of personnel in the new process. Key Responsibilities • Maintain and develop applicable global framework for operations competence assurance • Plan and execute full roll out of the Maersk Oil operations competence assurance program (OCAP) across operating Business Units (BUs) • Guide and assist with development of BU specific competencies • Formulate and promote links from OCAP to process safety and Incident Free (and vice versa) • Assess the need for external assessors together with BUs – oversee selection process of providers, while establishing roadmap for internally training our own • Finalise and maintain the competence assurance management program documentation • Determine global governance model for Competence Assurance • Review effectiveness of Global Competence Assurance System (CAS) during implementation and propose changes. • Identify and propose mandatory training requirements related to OCAP. • Manage Corporate Support to BUs during implementation • Engage with senior management in industry bodies for sustainability of Maersk Oil Competence Assurance Program and alignment with industry best practice Who we are looking for • Global Project Management skills through experience and certification • Ideally you have seen the delivery of a full lifecycle competence assurance project. As a minimum you have delivered global programs successfully and/or overseen a major phase of implementation in a competence assurance project. • Specialist knowledge of competence assurance programs and systems • Ability to effectively influence without authority • Ability to communicate horizontally and laterally • Resilience and persistence • Excellent verbal and written English skills (fluency) • Result driven individual who can drive desired outcomes with and through others • Oil and Gas industry experience is highly preferable Maersk Oil is an international oil and gas company with operated production of about 557,000 barrel
