Do you have in depth experience with offshore WTG installation? Are you looking for a position where you can use your extensive technical know-how and experience in an interesting role as subject matter expert with focus on WTG installation?

As Operations Concept Specialist, you will join our Operations Concept Support Department within Operations. The Operations Organisation in MHI Vestas is responsible for all aspects of pre-assembly, installation, commissioning and service of offshore wind turbines. Your work location will depend on your residence and will be located in either Aarhus - DK, Hamburg - DE, Oostende - BE, or Warrington – UK. However, in this position it is expected that you will be traveling approx. 120 days per year to various locations including both onshore and offshore sites. 

 

Tasks & responsibilities: You will…

…act as a subject matter expert with focus on WTG installation in forums within Operations, Technology and Product Development. Furthermore, you will act as the link between back office and project sites under execution. You are expected to provide technical support in defining new concepts as well as re-defining already established concepts in Operations. 

You will also be responsible for: 

  • Support concepts owners in creating new procedures and concepts
  • Review documentations for respective stakeholders
  • Optimise existing concepts by communicate knowledge from site and respective customers
  • Act as project manager for smaller projects e.g. tools
  • Support concept owners in the implementation of new concepts
  • Support concept technical project manager in executing optimisation and development projects 

 

Skills & experience: Our new colleague…

…has extensive experience with WTG installation and preferred experience with V164 turbines. You have good knowledge of the completion phase of offshore wind turbines, and it is important that you have good people and stakeholder management skills. As a person, you are proactive, innovative and able to see the big picture, and you are health-, quality- and safety-focused in everything that you do.

  • Have a relevant engineering background, e.g. marine or mechanical engineer
  • Are well-organised and open-minded
  • Have good communication skills
  • Are a team player
  • Can prioritise and structure multiple tasks on a daily basis
  • Are familiar with Microsoft Office applications
  • Are fluent in English
