The successful candidate will take part in the development of next generation optical transceivers for high-speed networks. The candidate will own the mechanical product design from concept to prototyping and validation, and will be developing stress and thermally tolerant micro-mechanical solutions in tight collaboration with the team. Qualifications: •Mechanical engineer or equivalent with strong materials background •3+ years of experience with micro-mechanical design •Experience with packaging of micro-optical and electronic devices, experience with transceivers an advantage •Hands-on experience •Experience with designing of experiments (DOE) •Experience with CAD design in Autodesk Inventor and/or SolidWorks •Experience with mechanical stress and deformation analysis in Ansys •Experience with thermal design an advantage •Knowledge of production methods and assembly technology •Product mindset: Experience implementing design for manufacture •Basic knowledge of electronics and optics an advantage •Self-starter and self-motivated •Fluent in English
