You will shape the European Oral Semaglutide business through leadership of the pan-European Oral Semaglutide Business Leader forum and you will take informal leadership of the cross-functional core team in Region Europe to develop and execute the Oral Semaglutide launch.
The launch of Oral Semaglutide represents a unique opportunity to significantly expand the GLP-1 class to a wider patient population and many more primary care physicians. About the department
You will be part of Commercial Operations in Region Europe in the team who focuses on our GLP-1 diabetes portfolio. We are responsible for the development of Region Europe’s commercial strategies and facilitating implementation in Europe for both in-line and pipeline brands. We define the strategic potential of pipeline products, developing and executing comprehensive pre-launch and launch plans to secure our success, improve patient outcomes and maintain and grow our product portfolio.
We are a well-functioning cross-functional core-team spanning market access, medical, marketing, commercial effectiveness, finance and public affairs. In this team you will be the marketing expert.
The position
Each of our European affiliates have dedicated resources or leads to prepare and lead the launch of Oral Semaglutide and we are expanding the Region Europe team with a pan-European lead of the Oral Semaglutide launch. Preferably your will be based from our regional headquarters in Copenhagen or in one of our larger affiliates in Europe.
You will develop the European Oral Semaglutide forum and lead an effective and forward-thinking cross-functional brand team in Region Europe, ensuring that all stakeholder/customer perspectives are considered and tactics are prioritised based on biggest potential and highest return on investment. You will facilitate better practice sharing across the affiliates.
You will develop and implement strategic initiatives in alignment with our global team and ensure local input from our affiliates during the shaping of positioning, key messages and campaign development. You will communicate the brand strategy, positioning and key messages and secure implementation across Europe. You will define KPIs, to make the team focus on core business priorities, and performance tools with business information. You will create reports to senior management showing successes, challenges and risks as well as proposed mitigation plans to manage these.
Oral Semaglutide will compete in a diabetes market that is highly dynamic with standards of care changing due to new product launches and certain product classes proving cardiovascular benefits leading to significant guideline changes. Oral Semaglutide is going to accelerate these dynamics as it represents a unique and new opportunity for physicians when treating type 2 patients. Qualifications
You have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and have a broad capability profile. You have worked extensively with primary care and launch experience to primary care will be prioritised. That could be both from a European affiliate, European region/cluster or from a global function. Experience from an international role is an advantage.
You hold a relevant academic degree and you are an expert in all marketing processes including strategy development, market insights generation, tactical brand plan planning/execution and you have a solid experience in commercial excellence. You have strong presentation skills.
As a person you are a natural leader and change-agent and you are known for your solid interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
