Job Description
Danfoss Intellectual Property is looking for a Patent Engineer to join their team in Nordborg, Denmark. In this position you will work with the outer boundaries of technology development where also digitalization plays an important role. Dealing with patents requires an eye for details, but also being able to create an overview and seeing the bigger picture. One of your main responsibilities will be to identify new inventions and patent them. Furthermore, you will make sure that Danfoss is not violating patents from other companies. Advising internal Danfoss customers and being in dialogue with patent agents especially from Germany, will also be part of your daily tasks. As a person you are detail oriented, analytical, structured, curious, thorough and keep deadlines.
Background and skills To be considered for this position, you need to like the combination between technology, language and law. You will mainly take care of the frequency converter area (motor drives), why you need to have a Bachelor or Master in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or Physics, but other areas of technology can also become your responsibility. Here we are flexible. If you are new to patents we will train you.
- Experience with Danfoss products is an advantage
- Experience with patents is preferred, but not expected
- Fluent and comprehensive in English. German reading skills is an advantage
