Visionary people management in a highly specialised environment As people manager in the Materials department your focus is to secure the right materials now and in the future. We work across all materials used in the LEGO® Group, and we have a time horizon from 0-15 years with major changes as part of our increasingly global agenda and LEGO's ambition to become a more sustainable company. We base our choice of materials on complex information from changing technical requirements, the chemical industry and the scientific world - with an increasing focus on developing sustainable materials. Specifically you will: Set strategic direction as member of the department’' leadership team (the Vice President, you and a Director Specialist) Create motivation and business focus as people manager for the team's 11 Materials Specialists and Materials Project Managers Translate the Materials strategy to people requirements - coach, guide and support positive change Set priorities, monitor timelines and deliverables for the department's technical projects Enable structured ways of working within the team, within the organisation and external stakeholders (universities, knowledge institutes, suppliers) in order to provide the best solutions, capture knowledge and reduce risk Identify opportunities to create an impact on the business within the area of Materials Enter into a close dialogue with stakeholders, primarily Procurement and Production Make the most of your skills and potential You can look forward to joining a culture that sparks individual learning and achievement, making us a connected team.
