About the department The Primary Packaging Development department develops primary packaging for all Novo Nordisk pharmaceuticals. In addition, we adjust and maintain primary packaging designs and specifications and provide support to drug product production world-wide. Our packaging lives up to detailed criterions as to drug protection, functionality, patient safety and other legislative requirements. And naturally, we spend a great deal of time documenting our activities to be ready for inspection from any health authority. The job You will drive projects related to improvement of marketed products and development of new primary packaging solutions. You support the use of established primary packaging in production and in R&D, and you identify the need for development of new packaging solutions. When Novo Nordisk initiates a primary packaging project, you will have facilitated the decision with overview and facts. In this way, you will find yourself right in the middle of highly specialised colleagues and a project pipeline of international format. You will use your profound technical insight and packaging expertise to support the drug development projects with advice and documents for clinical trial applications. At the same time, you will assist the Department Manager in prioritising the projects and allocating the right resources and competencies in due time. As such, you will demonstrate our department as a proactive and professional partner for the project organisation. Qualifications You hold a Master’s degree either within pharmacy, chemistry or engineering and have replenished your background with some years’ experience driving projects across functions in a large enterprise. Also, you have supported or been responsible for project portfolio management to ensure the right prioritisation and allocation of resources. Moreover, you are well-versed within primary packaging either for pharmaceuticals, medical devices or food. To be a success in this job, you will need to understand the business and get acquainted with the targets in order to deliver on your own and your department’s goals. You must proactively foresee project needs and use your sense of quality and urgency to ensure that the best suitable materials and designs are provided for primary packaging systems for Novo Nordisk pharmaceuticals.
