Join us and become Team Lead for our people running the REnescience pilot and demonstration plant. REnescience works with development, maturation and selling technology to handle household waste and turn this into sustainable energy and recycling of materials. Our ambition is to become one of the world’s leading suppliers of technology in this field. We currently operate a major pilot and demonstration facility in the Copenhagen area. The department is part of Thermal Power, which has 900 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We own just below half of the thermal production capacity in Denmark and are at the forefront of the development within efficient use of biomass and reduction of the environmental impact through innovative bio-refining technologies. Your place of work will be at Amager near Copenhagen in Denmark, with frequent meetings at our office in Gentofte. Areas of responsibility As Team Lead for our pilot and demonstration plant, your primary area of responsibility is to play an active role in managing the plant team of 2-6 team members and secure the daily operations and planning during campaigns - during which we are running 24/7. You are involved in upscaling and optimisation step of the REnescience process which demands strong coordination to both our Concepts and R&D team. You are one of tree team leads in a department with a total of 20 dedicated colleagues engaged in the technical and scientific development of the REnescience process. As a key person in our department, you secure the day to day operation and coordinate with the other teams. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •continue troubleshooting and optimising the plant •manage plans and budget during campaigns •handle general reporting and documentation as well as secure daily coordination with other teams and participate in cross-functional projects •handle the safety at the plant and coordinate with Amager Resource Centre •be involved in knowledge transfer from demo-plant to full scale industrial plant. Your profile You have a technical or mechanical bachelor of science or master of science degree with extensive experience from running operations, manning plans, SRO, bio-reactors, safety, trial and reporting. It is an advantage if you have experience within the field of upscaling mechanical equipment used in biological processes. Preferably, you are able to demonstrate results in bringing technology from a pilot scale to a commercial scale. As a person, you are self-driven, organised, persistent and have a holistic mind set. Entrepreneurship and readiness for change is a precondition.It is also important that you have excellent logistic skills, enabling you to understand and communicate complex matters in a professional and straightforward way to your colleagues and stakeholders. Moreover, you have good English skills, both verbally and in writing, enabling you to operate efficiently in an international environment.
